He currently serves as the Director and Head of the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics at "Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram" formerly known as W Pratiksha Hospital, Gurugram.
He specializes in robotic, hip, and knee surgery, and has contributed significantly to the recognition of the hospital as a center of excellence for robotic orthopedic surgery and sports injury treatment.
With a wealth of expertise in performing complex trauma and elective orthopedic surgeries in both India and the UK.
Dr. Sharma is renowned for his proficiency in revision trauma and revision arthroplasty surgery. Additionally, he has a special interest in young adult hips, developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), sickle cell disease, joint preservation surgery for the knee, and sports injuries of the hip and knee. His remarkable accomplishments and contributions to the field of orthopedic surgery have earned him widespread recognition and respect.

He specialises in adult reconstructive orthopedic, joint replacements, tumour and musculoskeletal problems in post polio and cerebral palsy.
He does lot of redo-trauma cases and sports injuries which involve single or multiple ligament reconstruction and joint saving procedures in younger patients with arthritis.
He also operates on teenagers with problems like hip dysplasia, when the hip doesn't fit properly into the socket, or slipped capital femoral epiphysis or SCFE, when the growth plate slips off the end of the thighbone.
He also has significant experience in patients with sickle cell disease where joints are damaged.
